Ungh. *hits floor*

  • Listening to: Taylor the Latte Boy
  • Reading: Breaking Dawn (again)
Well. I'm not dead. I just haven't uploaded anything in FOREVER. And seeing as the only post in my journal is a rant on Avatar, I might as well update a little bit.
School starts soon, but how that will make me less busy, I'm not sure. Maybe I'll have some free time in class or something to doodle.
What's coming up: I have a doodle of Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jackson series ready to upload. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm also working on a 4-5 strip fanart for that series also. But, at the rate I'm uploading, you might not see that for the next 3,000 years. Ugh. I'll try to be good. But it's hard.

I read Breaking Dawn and it was awesome, i just don't know that I'm going to be doing fanart. At least not yet. I don't feel like trashing my self esteem by trying to draw some of the scenes from there. Maybe when I get better. Eh.

So, I'm not dead. Just a bit stressed.

The Avatar Finale (Get ready for some spoilers)

Okay. If you haven't seen the finale for Avatar yet, you might not want to read this. If you have and you loved it, you might not want to read this either. Because I thought that was the worst way they could have ended the series.

Seriously. Spoilers start here. Stop reading.

Okay, I warned you.
I haven't uploaded any Avatar fanart, so some of you might not have realized that I like it. But if you looked at my favorites, you can see that, yes, I like the show. And, yes, I'm a die-hard Zutarian. So here's my take on the Avatar Finale

Good points
Zuko and Azula's Agni Kai (made of awesome)
Seeing the past Avatars
Aang gets the Avatar State back
Zuko becoming Firelord
Toph wanting a field trip with Zuko
Sokka. Period.
Katara and Zuko going on another mission.

Bad Points
Lion-Turtle thing giving Aang the power to "SpiritBend" That was a cop-out. I don't care if it was in the library or if it's in the theme. It had tons of plot holes. Why did Aang "not exist" when he was on it? How did Aang not notice the wake of the turtle before? It was basicaly a way for Nick to not kill Ozai. Which brings us to point two:
Aang didn't kill Ozai Yeah, yeah. Against his nature and all that. But all the other Avatars agreed that it was the best way. As soon as Aang got his avatar state back I thought "This is how they're gonna do it. He's got all the other avatars with him right now, and they're going to help him find the strength to finish the job." But no. Aang just magically sucked out Ozai's firebending because a turtle told him to.
KATAANG!! There was no way that that was supposed to happen. There was so much foreshadowing for Zutara it's not even funny. Yin/Yang. The Zutara cave. If you want to see it all check out: [link] There was tons of Zutara foreshadowing in this very episode! They had a seperate mission! Zuko threw himself in front of lightning to save her! Katara and Aang hardly said two words to each other in the finale.
And last: Aang dissed Kyoshi! I believe the quote is: "I knew I shouldn't have asked Kyoshi" Right after she tells him exactly what the other avatars told him! And then later, he does the partial avatar state thing, where the glow just flashes for a second. And the only other place we've seen that? KYOSHI DID IT! Lame. Kyoshi is my favorite avatar. Aang cannot diss her.

Wow. Long rant. But I'm done.

For now...
